Warm Apple-Prune Crumble

Ingredients Sauce
4 1/2 cups Sunsweet® Prune Juice
1 cup honey
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsps cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsps water
3 Tbsps unsalted butter
1 1/2 tsps ground cinnamon
1/4 tsps ground cloves
15 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 3/4-inch chunks
2 1/4 cups Sunsweet Pitted Prunes, halved

Crumble topping
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsps baking powder
1 1/2 cups butter, cut into chunks and softened
Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Directions
In a large saucepan, bring the prune juice to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until reduced by half and thickened, about 20 minutes. Lower the heat to medium and stir in the remaining sauce ingredients. Stirring constantly, cook until very thick, about 4 minutes. Remove from the heat. Preheat the oven to 375 ̊F. In a hotel pan or other baking pan that will hold 6 quarts, toss the apples and prunes together. Pour the sauce over the top and stir to coat evenly. Wipe any sauce from the sides of the pan. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add the butter and mix in with your fingers until incorporated. Sprinkle over the top of the apple-prune mixture. Bake until the apples are tender and the crumble is golden brown, 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired. MAKES 24 SERVINGS
